Adding aftermarket subs to 2006 bose system AND keeping stock sub???
i'd like to add just 1 or 2 subs with an aftermarket amp but also keep my stock sub working. is this possible with a LOC? i was just reading the sticky on the top of this thread but i wasnt sure if it explains what I need because it talks about using an amp for the stock door speakers. thanks in advance!!!

Depends on the amp, most people have been able to tap directly into the lineouts into the bose amp, converting them to rca's and plugging directly into the amps. This works with JL audio amps, which seem to be the most popular setup. I've gotten it to work with Alpine amps as well without an LOC.
yea i have a coupe, they dont have stock subs??? wheres all that base come from then? lol. is there any wiring diagram you know of of where to tap into the stock bose amp? and which alpine amp do you have? I'll use whatever will work best, i just want a 600-1000 watt amp and probably 2 decent 12" subs
Stock and bass shouldn't be included in the same sentence. The bose system is weak. My setup is an elemental designs 11kv.2 with an alpine mrp-350 with a custom box. If you want that much power I suggest a jl audio 1000.1 with a pair of ED 13ov.2s so that you might have some trunk space left over. a pair JL 12w6v2s could also work but will require an even larger box. I would suggest you rethink using 2 12" subs and either go with 2 10s in 4080 boxes or 1 12 in a custom box

I added a bass link II to my coupe and kept 6x9 bose hooked up... it sounded nice but now im ready to step the whole project up... soon be selling my brand new in box Infinity 6010cs (for the rear).two ohm matched for stock bose amp. and a pair of Infinity components 60.7cs used for 3 months. with basslink II sub... My friend talked me into doing a total system, but what i had sounded quite nice if you not into soundpressure plus...
