You answered your own question above. Get the 30% brighter neo wedge bulbs in either amber, white or blue.

Read this thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/lightin...t-guide-2.html which is referenced on the first page of this thread.

I could answer your question now, but its good practice to read through the entire thread before you ask questions that have already been answered

New bulbs gone bad

Anyone have any idea why the two dealer bulbs I just replaced in my clock would go out after about four days? The previous pair lasted six years, then went out at the same time so I'm guessing some electrical problem.

I got the 30% brighter from superbrightleds.com. It took a little doing to get them in -- took a light twist from a needlenose to turn them into place -- but the install ~looked~ right. However, they do not illuminate. My guess is that they must not be making good contact with the board. Any suggestions from those who have been successful with the replacement? I see on a similar (older) thread that I'm not the only one to encounter problems.

Correction, only one light didnt work. Now the 2nd one is flickering. Guess I'll go get some cream of wheat bulbs instead. What a waste of time and money.

The bulbs are reversible, as in they fit in the wrong way (positive vs. negative terminal). Turn them around and see if that helps.
