I'm going to have to subscribe to this thread. I'll be interested to see what anyone is able to come up with. To be able to customize the start up screen would be pretty cool.

well, I found out .dat is a video file so I'm still trying to figure out if this is how you could change the background. You may have to get into the actual DVD-rom player...I dunno still tryin guys

I would be really surprised if you can't upgrade the firmware through the DVD player. Again, I've never looked at the DVD, but it would seem that they would build in that functionality in case they came across any major bugs/etc.

so come on techies....check this out for us, i lack the advanced knowledge to rip into the firmware cd. I know someone has to be very bored or inclined to do this

I sit by impatiently waiting for someone to figure this out. I would do it myself but the only 'cracking' I know how to do is of the physical sort, not the software/firmware type.

how can i get the loading logo like yours i am getting the same kind of navi and i want the infiniti logo like yours. thanks
