Ok, so why wait any longer. Let's just get a GB list going, or at least a "feeler" list. From reading the thread this is what we know so far about it:
1- It's a Nissan part[s] and fully integrates into all [or most] Gs
2- It's going to be somewhere in the range of $180-$240, maybe a little more/less
3- There are currently no directions/instructions to install into our Gs
4- Controllable through factory HU.
5- Names, tracks, titles are displayed
6- It DOES charge the iPod while in use
Ok, nothing is known for sure and even 1 or 2 of my points may be off soo... who's still interested and pushing this forward to get results sooner than later?
GB/Feeler list:
1- NISMOTO
2-
3-
4-
5-
6-
7-
8-
9-
10-

I received the unit this weekend and temporarily hooked it up to play with it. You have two or three options on install. If you don't care about having your ipod in the trunk (and are sat prewired), you can install this thing in less than 5 minutes. All you need is a 10mm wrench or deepwell socket and the velco/zip ties that came with the unit.
I'll snap some pictures for a howto, detailing the options available. Can't promise today, as i'm in an apt and at the mercy of the currently menacing looking weather, but soon.

Yes you can scroll through the ipod when plugged in. (EDIT: Misread that... i think you meant actually scrolling through on the ipod itself. If that's the case, no. It puts a big checkmark on the screen saying ready to disconnect while it's powered by the nissan adapter). However, it is a bit clunky. You use the SEEK button on the right of the radio to scroll through menus. When you make a selection, you press the TRACK button on the left to select it. Once selected, it dumps you back to the current track playing screen, the XM CHAN 001 screen. The you press SEEK again to go through whatever menus are at that level. So it's not "sticky". I couldn't get it to display anything other than XM CHAN 00X when it was playing, but i'm pretty sure it was due to a brain fart on how the DISP button works, i'm going to try it again today to confirm.
The steering wheel volume and track selection work as expected. However, to go up one song, you must hold the track switch button up for about 3 seconds or so. Basically, you're going to want to set up playlists (there is a randomize feature in the menus under SETUP, but i haven't played with that to know exactly how it works). If you want to find a particular artist/song whatever, you can when you want to, easy enough, but i wouldn't rely on it to find the song you like, then find the next song, etc. Seems too cumbersome to me but YMMV.
