I say yes to that. Cause if some of us here have changed radio's more then once and gotten the same problem again. There is something wrong with the radio. And I think they should be responsible for it. Its a radio, there are moving parts in there that for the most part are still working. However controls to make it work seem to brake. Its a panel and some circuit board somewhere in there that is dead. Change it fix it design a new one, whatever, but for what $2500 to get a bose system in there. It should last longer then the car.

Hey does changing the radio to a DD aftermarket actually solve the problem? Hell it would give me a legitimate excuse to get a nice deck.

Hey guys! my problem with my radio/AC has been repaired. when i bought my G coupe i also got the extended warranty with it, all they did is replace the circuit board and it's fix. it's been a good 2months and it's not acting up so far. but my new issue is the passenger side window! sometimes its not rolling up, you have to bang! the door from inside so it will closed! but what the heck! still love the G!

I had the exact same problem on my a week an a half ago. My car is already out of warranty (03 sedan) so instead of buying a new circuit board i decided to go with a double din conversion kit (which comes with the AC controls) and bought myself an aftermarket radio. The problem is gone.

Same thing happening to me. AC on 65 and no radio. Dealer said no warranty, and will cost $1000 to replace circuit board. So, what is the best option for:

1.) Cheapest fix
2.) Best fix (custom set up) for the same for $1000.

Thanks.

Mine started up last week again and was off and on. This week it's not working at all, but I was able to get heat and I can control the radio from the steering wheel, but the AC was still running.

I pulled both fuses for the blower (located on the driver side), the system came online again, but no air. I put one of the fuses back in for the blower and (knock on wood) everything is working normally again. It's been two days so far.

Probably not the correct thing to do, but at least it's a temp fix.

Which of the two fuses did you put back in?

$#@!, this happens to my 03.5 sedan since a couple of months ago, after all these years?? The console display comes back on for a few seconds sometimes if I'm lucky in the beginning, then it went off completely now. a/c, radio are still working just can not change any settings anymore.

Any alternatives to $600 fix??

I had the same issue. I would hit the stereo a couple of time and wala it would come on. But one day it never woke up(RIP ), so i decided to replace it with another one i bought off ebay for 100 bucks and worked like a charm.
