The only solution to this is to bring it to infiniti dealer and they have to replace the headunit chip on your radio. the radio head unit for some reason is connected to the A/C CONTOLS. I had the same problem and took it to the dealer. i have an extended warranty so i have to pay $100. i dont know if u have an extended warranty?

I have the same problem 2003 G35 coupe w bose system. Began as CD ERROR message then intermittent loss of control for the radio. Then AC controls began acting up sporadically. Unfortunately all is quiet no controls work steering wheel controls no he. Currently AC is stuck at 75 deg radio is dead. several blogs have indicated circuit board on AC and Audio Control Panel.

Read a previous posting and it provided this link for a cheaper solution http://www.carstereohelp.com/infiniti.htm looking at giving it a shot wondering if anyone has any feedback on this company

so after almost 2 years of driving around with no cd player and a little over a year of the dash going out i finally replaced the oem cdplayer with another and also replaced the circuitboard and everything is working properly again, for the mean time that is.

Just had mine replaced at the stealer. From what I've read, this is the only sure cure. $500 P&L but it works and has a 1-year warranty. Would have liked to go aftermarket but don't trust the local shops.

Fix my issue

I tried everything (without replacing parts), nothing work.
Then I got pissed and hit the right side of the radio really hard, well, that fixed it.... Has been working without any problems for a few days now.

Hitting the right side (didn't try the left yet) of the radio fixes this problem.

The radio/AC controls have gone up twice in the last two days, but a little hit on the right side fixes it every time.

I don't think anyone needs to have expensive repair work done, it's probably just a small solder point that needs to be checked.........

Years ago, I had a Nissan 240SX, which completely shut down, every time I drove it for a while and wouldn't start until it cooled off....

I found that it was related to the ECU.. I removed the ECU, opened it up and found that one small solder point was completely gone.... Two minutes later I had that fixed and the car run for long time without any more problems.
