Lightbulb Infinity Perfect all around with Z1

Hey guys, i'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I just got my G a month ago and just installed the Z1 with the kit from Grubbs. I gotta say it was extremely easy to do.

I'm the kinda guy that likes to listen to music loud on some occasions and i find that the bose system doesn't sound very good at high volumes since i put in the Z1. it's almost like the stock HU would calibrate the EQ based on the volume to limit distortion...

Anyways, this is what i wanna do, i've attached a diagram. The 6.5 inch speakers will be handling mid to high range and the 6x9s will be handling most bass and mid range requencies. Let me know what you guys think. I also have a perfect 10DV.Q and a rockford 6001bd at home but i need to fit more that just once suitcase in my trunk as i travel a lot, that's why i'm not putting the sub in just yet.

Let me know what you guys think.

Joe

You think I should remove the rear 6.5's? or make em do the same freq as the 6x9s for front stage?

i would say take all the money you plan on 3 sets of speakers, and invest in 1 set of good components. Install the sub as well because the system is never going to sound right without any low range, which the stock speakers just don't provide

I work at Future Shop, I get all of these speakers for Dirrrrt Cheap. I got the perfect 6.1 for 100 bucks CAD.

Total i would spend on this is about $600, and i got the Z1 for $1500. The thing is all i have to work with are the brands that we carry.

What do you think would be better than the 6.1 perfects without going too crazy?

i personally am not a fan of any infinity speakers...and i also concurr with the statemetn of front stage only...

combine allt he money you were gonna spend on the THREE pairs of speakres, and put htem into a good front stage only...leave the rear side spekares off the headunit if you wish, and remove the rear 6x9s to get better bass into the cabin...

on 99 percent of my installs in the Gcoupe, i do front stage only, and i am sure a few of my cusotmers can tell you how they dont miss having no real rear stage, infact, even when they are on, you cant hear tham anyway hehe

Infinity, MTX, MB Quart (Q series is a special order but possible), and Pioneer.

For amps we have MTX and Rockford only.

I don't know what all the fuss is about on Infinity speakers on this forum. It seems like half of the people who wanna change out their stock audio begin with Infinity. I mean they are OK, but what is it? Is it because they are called Infinity?

The best pioneer speakers that we carry are the REV series.

I'm in Ottawa, Ontario. Future Shop is doing a big focus on audio this year... Contact their office and try man. nothin to loose. W've picked up about 4 new home audio lines this year and they're starting to look into new car audio lines.

oh canada...we have a rep in canada as well...i will see...

anyway, out of those you listed...the perfect is not half bad then...better than the REVs IMO...you can also check out hte MTX thunderaxe or what ever its claled, their top of hte line comps, not bad at all when i did hear them...

but definetly forget rear speakres IMO...just concentrate on the fronts and do a sound install

Thanks 16psibrick for all of your input. This is the final diagram I'm going with and as soon as I'm done the install I'll post some pics . I'm using some inspiration from your galleries, you've done some awesome work.
