Weight with sound system.
I am curious to find out how much weight I might gain by putting in, lets say a two 10" sub setup in my g coupe. After everything is installed, subs, and amps and other accessories how much weight will be added to the car roughly? Just wanted to know if it is a ridiculous amount or really not that much. Thanks.

^i doubt a couple hundred pounds. i mean assuming u dont get w7's and get some w3's or something similar at most i would say around 100 pounds. i have 2 12w1's and with them in a box i doubt it wiehgs more than 40-50 pounds. my alpine m1005 amp probably only weighs 15 pounds. maybe throw in 5 pounds for wiring. so lets say somewhere in the area of 60-70 pounds. if u get an amp for the speakers then ull probably add another 15 pounds. i used to have an alpine type x before it blew out and that thing alone weighed more than my 2 12's and the box put together.

lol but thats for a overpriced heavy sub
for a good estimate list everything you want to put in your car and for the enclosure use lightweight mdf wood like I did, it makes a HUGE difference

An easy 50 - 100lbs. I've got 2 12W6V2's and 2 amps. When I took everything to clean the car I went for a spin and talk about big difference in power without the sytem.
Why not just add the components weight up? They all should have it in the included materials or on the boxes. If it's used stuff, you can find out the specifics online. Add about 20lbs for wire.

I think the most noticeable different in performance is going to be feeling like the back end is heavy due to the added weight. 100-200 lbs isnt as noticeable when its a passenger, but when its in the trunk it makes a more noticeable difference. I don't have the science to technically back that up but thats what I noticed when adding subs/amps/enclosure to my coupe.
