Make sure whatever camera you get is CCD. I personally have the Visiontech (Boyo) VTL120, its a license plate frame with the CCD camera running across the top edge which also swivels up and down. Im very happy with it.

The picture at night is actually ok. You can see objects very clear. But again, the camera resolution is not so high, but you can see every object very clear, day or night.
Yes I taped the power for the camera and the trigger from the reverse light.
I have more pics of my rearview cam if you like to see more.
