Radio and AC gone haywire need help!

I recently purchased a used 2003 g35 sedan, everything has been great up until now.. i was driving the other night with my friend when out of nowhere the oem radio shuts off and the ac turn to the auto function.. since then the ac wont turn off and the radio wont turn on.. i have searched over these forums in and out and have found that it may be the radio or ac circuit board.. so far ive tried every thing i can possibly think of to fix this.. i have reset the car by removing the battery, i have taken apart the whole head unit disconnected the ac and radio controls reset the car, and even when the ac controls are not connected the auto function still turns on when i turn on the car! i just called riverside infiniti and they quoted me about $500 for the circuit bored.. is there anything anyone thinks i can do or are there any other options i can take any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Same boat

I'm in the same boat, finally decided to take the radio out and send
it to Clarion, they quoted me 200$ to repair, the dealer told me its
99% percent the radio, lets hope so. They did have a recall on circuit
boards but when they checked my vin number, it was not on the list..
I really hope its fixed right because its very annoying...

My circuit board did the same thing.

A less expensive option would be to buy a used radio from someone on here that has done a DD swap.

I've got the circuit board that I took out from my coupe during my dd swap, but it does not have the button for the dual climate control. I'd be willing to ship it out for $65 usps priority shipping included. In fact, I can send someone the whole dang bose radio for $110 shipped if they want it. It worked perfectly when I took it out.

My radio is a pain in the ***!!! It works when it wants to...sometimes all day and sometimes it doesnt work for weeks at a time. If it is a circuit board problem...would an aftermarket head unit fix it? Its an 03 MT no nav

To me aftermarket radio is the way to go for any car out there. Just be prepared to drop between $500-$1500 to replace your head unit. However, I've heard on this board that the blose headunit costs that much to replace, so if I were you go aftermarket. Plus if you can use a screw driver and pliers, you can easily do it yourself.

I had that similar weird electrical problem too. One day the display for the AC went haywire on a hot summer day, and started blinking, then I couldn't eject/change any of my CD's. Just my 2 cents.

Clarion fixed my..

HU for 200$ and are sending it back, hopefully with my CD's that were jammed
inside. For me it was the best option as I did not want to spend $$$$$$
on a new system. Taking it out was quite easy thanks to a DIY found
through this board. I asked them what the problem was but they did
not really say, I'm sure it was something quite easy to fix. I will
let you guys know if it works fine or not..

so far so good

Everything seems to be working fine, even though its been only a week.
Total cost of repair was 185$, on my repair order it says NO WARRANTY
The model number of my Clarion HU is 2545E if anybody needs
that info..If it breaks a second time might look into DD..
