USAmps or Memphis
I am sure this probably boils down to personal preference and budget, but I thought I would ask anyways.
Memphis MCD 1000 or USAmps MD.1D
I am still in the process of tryin to piece togher what I think I want then trying to find out more about the company's and their reputations. Also if anyone has any guidelines for setting up a system I would happy to hear them.
And here are the things that most people will ask first:
Types of music: Rock, pop, jazz and classical.
Budget: Doing full system, hoping to keep it around 3-4K
SPL or SQ: I would like to have the system geared more to SQ.

USAmps ftw
I like both but Memphis has always came off with more of a cheap-and-loud feel to it... USAmps stuff is always amazing, and 9 times out of 10 will sound better than comparable units of other brands.
btw if you're an SQ guy with a G, what are you doing with 1100w @ 1 ohm...?
Doesn't sound like a rock/pop/jazz/classical amp to me unless you're going to wire that baby up to 4 ohms for the higher damping factor and send it to one sub...
A buddy of mine ran a beasty 4-channel USAmps with the rear 2 channels bridged to a sub and the front 2 going to his 3-way components, it worked out really well... but you're looking at monoblock amps here.

When I posted that I was thinking of trying to use a JL 12w7 but figured that may turn into to much of an investment . So I am now thinking about running a memphis belle 600 amp and a JL 12w6. But I didn't know if that would be to much of a strain on the amp 400w @ 1 ohm. I am tying to find something that I could run at 2 ohm. I guess a more resonable USAmp would be the xt-4000D. 450w @ 2 ohm.

the fact that they went through a facelift probably means they are now crap... that's generally how these things work unfortunately. I remember memphis always used to have the cheap-but-effective extruded aluminum heatsink with square edges... really nice for cutting your elbow on.
I don't think it's possible to run a w7 at 1 ohm anyway, they are 3 ohm speakers it looks like... so unless you're planning on having 3 of them...
It is somewhat conflicting to have a high-power low-resistance setup with a super-high-quality sub like a w7... honestly I'd say go with more of a medium powered amp and a more medium-range sub, like my JL 500/1 and 10w6v2 sound frickin great... plenty of output and excellent sound quality in a small sealed box (the 4080 box).

For a sub I would check out Image dynamics. The IDMax is an amazing sub. If you want something that is not as loud the IDQs are also great. But to answer you question I would go with the USamps. They are solid. Memphis isnt as good as it used to be. They are still make good stuff but they used to be better.

Anyone ever heard of RE Audio? I was looking at USAmps website and they seem to have hooked up with eachother. I could only find reviews on thier XXX subs but they scored really high with Car Audio and Electronics. Link
Anyways I am going to check them out at a local shop when I get back from Iraq. I am just trying to get an idea of what I want and what it will cost me.
