Premium Stock Head unit swap

I want to keep the stock look but want to upgrade to a head unit for mp3 playback.

Will the 04-06 head units fit an 03 sedan?

And do they have MP3 capability?

05-07 head units will not fit on 03-04... and I do not know of anyone who has successfully performed this retrofit.

if you want to upgrade, look into aftermarket double din setups

Are you trying to hook up an ipod? This could be done with the stock head unit and Pac unit. search

Yup, if it's just to connect the Ipod the PAC unit works. I think the unit was PAC-NA11 but it's been a while. It will allow you to utilize your wheel controls. There were a lot of previous posts on this set up.

Thanks for the replies, but i am used to a head unit that plays mp3 discs, and just wanted to know if the 04-06 had a head unit like that, that I could swap.

Have you guys wired the steering wheal audio controls to an aftermarket head unit?

^^ depending on which unit you get, you should be able to get a PAC adapter to wire up the steering wheel controls

The '05+ Bose units are able to play the MP3's that have burned to CD. I haven't seen anyone who's actually done the swap though. I know the interior was updated slightly in 05, but I'm not sure on the extent of the change. It would be nice though!
