a simple little G35 coupe install

Been a while since i posted anyhitng, for once i got in more other cars than Gs hehe...

but got the chance to do a quick little G35 coupe system, its basically a twin of one i did early from LA:

https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-video-electronics/125963-one-more-g35-install-you-guys-pics-here.html

only difference is in the headunit and sub selection and like that car, it sounds pretty decent

goals:

1. good sound quality
2. save trunk sapce yet retain full access to the spare
3. simple and clean

headunit is an avic-D3 pioneer navi unit, as usual the DLS sub controller is installed in the ashtay, the ipod cable comes out of hte upper cubby.

the microphone for the bluetooth adapter i installed into the Card holder, I have to thanks a fellow G forum member for suggesting it to me and letting me try it out on his G35, and this is where i will put the mic from now on

front stage is same as the other G, a pair of DLS ultimate UR6.3 3 way 6.5" component setes, the midbass is in the stock lower door location, the door full dampened and new wires ran into the door:

and the midrange and tweeter are installed into the factory kick panels, as usual, in the G, this arrangement yields a pretty good center image with a suprisingly high stage, hovering above the dash

the trunk is vritually identical to the other G, with the 4080 box on the passener side, housing a single image dynamics IDQv3 10", and a matching amp rack on the driver side houing a DLS ultimate A5 3 channel on the drvier side, sitting in a black suede lined well. A plexiglass front panel is at the front of the amp rack. the A5 powers the entire system. A CF vinyl cover hides the amp from view. A vent is on top for heat to escape.

with the cover on:

and the cover off:

nothing fancy, the amp is prolly the most powerful i can fit into this location and still eat up very little real trunk space

the amp rack i built it and the lastime i did one like this, i got a bunch of PMs asking me if i can build those and ship it out, but unfortunately, i cant, even if you get hte same amp and i buiuld an identical rack, a big part of it is doing the wiring in the really tight spot whcih is a pain...

youdont have to touch the amp rack, the carpet is trimmed around it. the 4080 box require zero tools, and takes about 15 seconds to slide out of hte way, and then you can access the spare

Another awesome install. Is the Mid secured to anything behind the card holder? That's a perfect place for it! I just went for a drive, and it feels like that spot has the least amount of vibrations. I'd just be afraid of getting the wire in a bad spot and have it interfere with the side-curtain airbags. Is that a concern at all?
