help with dd headunit

hey guys and gals i am putting a dd headunit in my 05 right now. i have the dash kit and ac controler all connected right. now i have the wireing i bought a wireing kit from a local shop. i have all the wires as they should be but the new headunit will not turn on. my question is what wiring kit did you use on your install? how many plugs did it have one it. i still have 2 plugs left over i think i have the wrong kit. also i was given a power antena kit it has no where to plug in. did i get all the wrong stuff? And i did a search i can find anything

i have the metra 70-7551 kit and the 40-ni12 nissan antenna adapter

where in MD are you located? I might be able to lend you a hand.

what wires on the harness are you left with? Is possible for you to take a picture of your connections and post them on here so we can take a close look?

Also, did you disconnect the battery while you work on it? any slight touch of the certain wires could cause a spark and fry your unit.

well i see a lot of early model G's installing the DD HU. Is this possible for 07 sedans without navi? I just installed memphis audio sub/amp and will soon be installing infiniti components and was wandering about an aftermarket HU. any insight is greatly appreciated.

yep the other two harness plugs is left hanging ....unless you have the PAC steering wheel control and your DD unit has a speed sensor input...then you will need one of those two plugs and tap into the wires.

Nevertheless, i used the 70-7551 as well and i was left with only one wire unused, which is the Amp Ground. According on the back of plastic bag, it is the Black/White wire, for some strange reason, mine was actually Gray/Black

i must have a bad ground i moved it and it came on. but you have to turn it all the way up to get some reall *** out of it. i stil have the wrong antena kit. but the wiring harness is good. i did put the dual button in it was easy i wish i have put the led in for it.

turn the loudness on, and adjust the EQ... it'll help a little bit.

I see what they meant but using the speaker out instead and have a low-level converter to adjust the gains to dail in the exact juice the factory bose likes.

I'm lacking the power i originally had. I'll probably get rid of the bose amp and go with a nice aftermarket 4, 5 or even a 6 channel amp in the future.

Some people said the weakness was the bose HU, some said the bose amp, some said the bose speakers....i'm came to a conclusion that the whole friggin system is a piece of ****
