05-07 Dash Removal

Hey guys, so i checked FedEx and im supposed to be getting my USA SPEC Ipod integrator in the mail today. I've searched all over driver and frenzy and the internet and i cant find a good DIY for dash removal. If anyone could link me one it would be much appreciated.

Thankyou.

Thankyou.
Just start carefully pulling dash pieces off and see what happens.....lol j/k

I too thought there was a DIY on 05-07 dash diassembly b/c it is actually easier than in a 03-04. anyone else remember this?

But, I think you just have to remove pieces surrounding the clock trim and HVAC unit and not have to start with the driver's and passenger's panels like in the 03-04.

You could always find a service manual for 2005 and it'll tell you what pieces you have to remove to get to the HVAC unit.

Thanks for the info. Although, i thought that you had to start on the sides and work your way in?

I'm not sure if the dash removal is the same as an 05 but it will give you some help.

You don't have to remove the entire dash to remove the radio to install an iPod adapter. This link http://www.g35ipod.com/installHW.php?skin=1 will show you what you need to remove to install the iPod adapter.

Okay thanks

Hmm, alright. So i guess the 03-04 extraction and the 05+ isnt much different? I guess ill just start at the sides and work my way into the middle.

That looks helpful, but its for an 03-04....How different is that going to be? Thanks.

^ Right. I thought it was the thread for the 05, but that link isn't valid anymore.

The process for the 05 is similar but you son't have to take so much stiff apart.

don't be afraid my son.....just use the force....

yes... you have to pinch and yank those clock trim pieces like you were extracting a car accident victim using the jaws of life....once you find out where the clips are in the clock trim piece(s), it'll be easier the next time.

yes, there is a difference between the 03-04 models and the 05-07 models in terms of dash disassembly.

Will that be the correct guide to go by for installing mine? And does anyone know where people usually put the usaspec ipod stuff behind the dash?
