I just installed a DD using the Metra kit. Everything works fine EXCEPT the friggin temp button - its stuck at 75. I didn't see the jumper thing before i had to put the whole interior back together. My question is more about the automatic climate control. Since I cannot change the temp, if I set it on auto will it blow hot air until the cabin is at the 75 degrees? OR will it, even on auto, blow out 75 degree air until I tear it all apart to see if Metra screwed me?

I just installed the metra DD kit but my temperature won't change. I can press hotter and colder all day but the display keeps saying 63 deg. However, all the other buttons work. I checked all the connections and everything looks fine. anyone got any ideas? thanks!

you need to take the entire kit out agian, a pain I know but it must be done.

once you have it off look on the back of the AC controls, there should be a black covering with 4 screws. When you remove this cover you will see the board for ac controls. In there you will see a jumper that is NOT supposda be there. It will be either in slot 1,2, or 3 remove it completly. Reinstall everything and you should be good

I had the exact same problem

I installed a dd in my o5 g35 coupe. I don't recall seeing those clips when i pulled my ac harness apart and I have the same problem with my ac. When it is at 60 it is cold but when I turn it to 61 it starts to get warm. I didnt even go under my steering for anything. If I dont have the clips you were talking about what should I do?

Hey guys --

Don't fry the JDM a/c controller like i did -- make sure you remove the neg. terminal off the car battery ... that's how i fried my 1st a/c controller.... LOL

The symptoms were the following: none of the a/c controller buttons worked except the defroster button, none lit up, and the a/c was stuck on 75 with the air blowing towards the passengers' feet.

Holy ****, I have been thinking about just going to the dealer until now. I think before I didn't see it because it was tucked into the side panel, hooked the hose and the sensor and boom... temp changes moderately from 60 to 90 now. Thanks!!!!!!!!!

I have to say I love you guys!! I just spent about 5 min. fixing the hvac problem, and I didn't even break a nail.

I know I would have been heading back to the stereo shop on Monday had I not found this thread.

This forum rocks!
