Pioneer AVH-P6000DVD
Has anyone heard of this unit? I was thinking about getting it because I don't need the navigation. I am trying to find out if the PAC SWI-PS will work with this. I can't find any details as to whether or not this unit has a wired remote port. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!

This is what I was looking at on Pioneer's website: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...s/AVH-P6000DVD

It actually looks like the same unit... weird. Does the PAC unit plug into the AUX input port on the HU? That's the only matching plug I can see on this picture towards the bottom: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/pictures.php?id=12294

Crack...
I have the AVH-P6000DVD and you can't use the SWI-PS with this unit. The 6000 doesn't have the direct remote jack ("wired remote input") in the back. You need to use the PAC SWI-X. This has an IR eye that transmits to your unit.
Don't know exactly what you are referring to here. Any "remote" wire on the harness would be the "remote turn-on" lead.

no the aux is not it, there is a line on one of the harness that you connect to, can't seem to see it in the picture. But it should be on there. You can't miss it, it says remote in on it.

If you would like to check for yourself, here is the link to the installation manual. You will notice that there is no "wired remote input"

I just installed mine today. My G is an AT so I actually drilled a small hole in the back left of silver shifter area... kind of hard to explain. It's the vertical trim that is above the leather boot. I'll have to take a pic and post it tomorrow. Works great from there though (at least on my HU) which was awesome.
