Hey Guys. I just bought a 10" Type R, I need to know what a good amp is to pair with it. I searched and couldn't find anything. Not lookin to spend over $200 on an amp. Thanks guys.

I have than with an alpine Mrd-m501. It is an older model, sure you can find them on the net cheap and still new.

Perfect amp for the type R. I have two of those 10's in my sedan, and have the MRD-1001 powering it, 1800watts peak and 1000 rms total, I have the gain at about 65% if that. Perfect for the 750rms sub that pounds like Ron Jeremy!! LOVE IT!!! ALPINE FTMFW!!!

Well I have a friend that works at American TV and can get me a good deal on the Alpine MRP-M500. My question is, is that a good amp also?

It is not a bad amp, it just doesn't have all the features the mrd amps have. They have an electronic interface and it is very easy to adjust.

So the mrd would be a better choice? I couldn't seem to find a link to one for sale. Do you have one? Also is it enough power for it? I want to run this sub to its full potential. Thanks!
