sat radio

I was thinking about sat radio for the G35X sedan. Under accessories it is only $336. I know there is labor involved but after talking to the dealer they want about an even grand to install the antenae and the receiver. To me this seems a little high. Is this about right or should I shop around a little more?

Happy to own my G35X

Re: sat radio

1. You can buy the full kit for <$300 at Grubbs.

2. Charging $1000 for install is a COMPLETE RIPOFF. If you have *any* DIY skills, you can install the kit in about a hour and place the antenna on the rear shelf, where it works fine and doesn't ruin the exterior appearance of the car!

Re: sat radio

Thanks for the advice. It did not seem like a good deal at the 1K price range.

Re: sat radio

I also found an installation guide through grubbs. This may help some. It gave me an idea of what to expect.

Re: sat radio

I bought my XM kit from Grubbs and had the local Circuit city do the install. They did a great job and it cost me $80.00 for all the labor and parts to install.

Base 6MT Silver sedan
Stillen Exhaust
Stillen CAI
Eibach Pro Kit
Eibach Sway Bars
