This happened once to me so far. I was driving and the radio was on and I turned the volume down but the **** on the unit wasn't doing anything. I looked down and noticed that the radio still show the station i was on instead of the volume. I pulled over in a parking lot and noticed that none of the buttons on the radio would work, not even the power button.

My AC controls did work though and I was able to control the radio from the steering wheel. I even turned the radio on and off several times from the steering wheel.

I then turned the engine off and on again and everything was normal. All the buttons worked and it hasn't happened since. Has anyone else seen this or did i just experience some weird glitch?

 

Your problem sounds like the circuit board may be going bad, which is a common occurrence on earlier models. Take it to the dealer and have them take care of it under warranty the next time it happens.
