Which Zenclosure to buy

I am going to purchase a Zenclosure today, but wanted to get opinions.

i have:

(1) JL 10W6V2
(1) JL 500/1

If i get the single zenclosure offset, it's pretty clear where to mount the amp.

if i get the single zenclosure centered, where would be the most likely place to mount the amp?

i rather like the idea of the centered, because it's... centered..

if anyone has pics of centered installs with amp location, that'd be sweet!

also, the guy will make the airspace to what i want. should i go with 0.7 cubic feet gross like the JL manual says, or do people get better results with different airspaces?

There should be plenty of room on the side of the enclosure to mount the amp out of sight.

ah, on the side without the terminals? i hadn't thought of that, thanks!

can anyone confirm that a 500/1 would fit comfortably there? maybe i'll send the zenclosure guy a message asking if he knows...

well, i talked to Mike (zenclosures) on the phone. he said that there's NO room on the side or behind the enclosure to mount an amp, especially a 500/1.

i guess i'll go with the offset one...

What's the general opinion about the zenclosures? I see them for sale and I'm really tempted to get one to dump my universal box that looks like crap in the trunk.

I think the offset ones look nice, however I have 2 10" kicker sl10l7's so centered it will be for me.

i've read a lot of threads about the zenclosures and the general feeling is that they are great at producing good sound, but only if you marry them with the right speakers...

the single and dual enclosure are made with only 1 cubic ft of airspace... total. if your (2) kicker 10's require more than that, it won't sound as good as just (1) with correct airspace.

my JL10W6V2 requires 0.625ft^3 (0.7 gross) of airspace, so you can't get the required amount for two.

Mike with Zenclosures on the phone was great, he asked what kind of speaker I have and said, "those need 0.625, we'll reduce the 1ft^3 for you." Great customer service.
