6.5" and spacers. Need advice.

I'm installing an amp, 6.5 components in the front and 6.5 coaxials in rear of an 03.5 G35 sedan.

6.5 Component
- Mounting Depth (top) = 2"
- Mounting Depth (bottom) = 2 5/16"

6.5 Coaxials
- Mounting Depth (top) = 2.68"
- Mounting Depth (bottom) = 2.99"

I found 1" spacers. Likely going to go with Zen's but would consider less expensive MDF spacer brands.

Does anyone foresee an issue with fitment given my speaker sizes/depths?

Do I need spacers for the rear speakers also?

Thanks.

Does your sedan have Bose or not?

Bose has 5.25" rear door speakers and non-bose has 6.5". I know with my non-bose and Focal K2P rear speakers I needed spacers.

Bummer, someone told me that my Bose had 6.5 F/R and that's what i bought. I haven't installed as yet so I can't verify true of false.

I had bose and put 6 1/2 eclipse coaxials in the rear door with the factory speaker mount and they fit perfectly, no need for spacers. also put 6 1/2 components in the front with the factory mounts and no problems there either.

^ wow really, no need for spacers? Is it a nice snug fit? Because i don't want my speakers to be wobbling when i hit a bump in the road.

Spacers aren't needed for the magnet to clear the window. Spacers are needed to space the speaker out to the back of the plastic door panel for better sound.

I installed 6.5 inch coaxials in the rear doors of my sedan too.

Good info.

I just checked the Polk 6.5 coax and they are a bit larger than the 6.5 component system. Weird.
