I know the 3000D's can draw some good power. Do the big 3 for sure and you might be okay. Worst comes to worst, all I think you would need to do is upgrade your battery under the hood. For that, I'd go with an Odyssey PC 1200. I'd ditch the Kinetik's because the Odyssey is a better daily battery and it will outperform the HC 1400 (personal experience). I'd also take it over the Optima Yellow Top because I've had friends whose yellow top gave up on them and I've never had problems with the Odyssey. I actually let my large one that I used to have, the PC 2150, sit for about a year and it was still holding a charge at 12.6V.

Yep, definitely would. I had the PC 1200 in my Accord and if I had more slack on the power wire connected to it, when my firewall got bent in my accident, it would not have pulled off the battery post and I would have used it in the G. I plan to get the same battery once I do my audio install.

I left my lights on a couple time overnight and the car started with no problem. I jump started a car with my car with ease. It took the RF T30001bd with gains about 3/4 of a way with a 160A alt and voltage didn't drop below mid 11's at 32 Hz full tilt. Small, but beastly. I just wish the PC 1500 would fit in the G.

I got mine from www.qualitypowerauto.com. They were local though. There are a couple other places. I've found them for about $180 - 190 or so online just searching through google. I have them in my favorites on another hard drive. I'll try and search for them to see if I still have it there.

Just an FYI, Odyssey, Hawker and Stinger are the same batteries, just different stickers. They are all made by Enersys. I've seen a couple on eBay. There is one right now going for $230 shipped. That's about right since battery prices have gone up. I got mine for $200 or $215, but you can definitely find them for around that price still through google.

Oh no, I didn't mean for it to sound like you will need it. By all means go the most inexpensive route first. If you decide to go with the amp, hook it up and do your big 3. Make sure paint is sanded down to bare metal. I prefer using copper or tinned copper lugs. Those platinum and gold plated ones are just a marketing scheme. Copper is MUCH better.

Don't let dimming fool you. What you want to do is grab a DMM and see what the voltage is dropping down to at the loudest volume you would play your music on a bass heavy track (one with lower frequencies draws more current). If you're in the 12's and 13's then you'll be just fine.

I believe Optima's around around 150, not quite too sure. I know my Kinetik HC 1400 was about $180. The extra $40 bucks or whatever it is for the PC 1200 is definitely worth it. I'd only recommend getting a battery only if it is needed. If your voltage is just fine with the stock battery and stock alt, then no need to spend money on something you don't need. But definitely do the big 3.

DMM is a digital multimeter. You can get a craftsman from sears for about 10 bucks. There are others that are more expensive, but they just offer more options.
