Invisicord isnt technically hardwiring. The valentine one unit is still quite mobile and can be moved from car to car, especially if you also purchase Mikes Mount.

If you use the invisicord, you can just unplug it from the V1 and take the V1 out, leaving the invisicord behind... The V1 will stay just the way it is, while you aren't even truly splicing the wires in your car. But you won't be using a plug, so it's considered "hardwiring" it into your car. With a Mike's mount, you just need a second mount for the V1 for when you take it out of the G.

Invisicord - http://www.invisicord.com/index.html

Mikes Mount -contact mike3348 at my350z.com forums. I'm sorry I dont have his direct email address. Perhaps someone else can help you out. I PMed him and paid via paypal and received the mount within 1 week.

Once you receive the products, search on the forums here. There a ton of installation tutorials for the invisicord.

I have a v1 with mikes mount, and love it, but yea, i was also able to use the plug when i first got it for a bout a week (then i got a stealthcord). It plugs right in, it just might be a little snug, i think i actually had to angle the butt part of the adapter so it wouldn't hit anything. But yea, you can get a stealth or inviscord for your G (cost about 12 bucks) and just keep the valentine wire in what ever car you switch between to make it easy

Thanks so much, i've had a V1 for approx 8 years now and never heard of the invisi or stealth cords. I had actually hard wired the V1 into my truck until some thief decided he wanted my head unit and in ripping out the stereo wiring also ripped out the V1 wiring. Thankfully, the V1 wasn't in the truck to get taken, but I never rewired the setup. Now with the G, I haven't wanted to hardwire the V1, but this is a great setup to not have to deal with the coil cord and having it plugged in to the cigarette lighter ruining the look of the interior.

Its the finds like this that make all the time on forums worth it.
