I'd throw it in the center console or ash tray.

Kricci, Clean Install! .. I'm looking at getting the same HU, Is there anyway I can get you to post a side profile pic so I can see how far the HU sticks out from the trim? or does it sit flush?

i remember there being some discussion about whether a flip-face DD unit would work with our shifters in park. i don't know about the stock shifter, but the pioneer avhp4200dvd clears the razo shift **** with no modifications.

BigC... Do you have a DD trim around your DD?

Yeah, its a piece of ABS plastic cut to fit. The generic one I purchased on amazon was a little too flimsy.

Quote: Thanks. I have also seen a wire harness with rca cables on it for the g35 bose system. Do you know what this is. I want to hook a double din up and wire them to the factory bose speakers. Which of the two do I have to use. Thanks

how are the kenwood dd's. Do you like it?
Kenwood DNX8120
Its 2 or 3 years old and still the best TV to date.It has the best pic of any of the tv' I have owned. I have one in all of my cars and my dad has one in his 69 camaro.

Quote: I don't think any double din is too big for the JDM kit in our cars.
I had to shave a little bit off each side to fit my Kenwood DNX8120 on my G and on my Lexus. It has a 7" screen.

I have also owned several Pioneer TV's and I am not a fan. I will never own Pioneer again. CD's with skip with the smallest scratch, Poor video quality. The only thing I liked about the new ones where the Ipod interface( it is very user friendly). I figured I would also say I have been doing car audio for over 10 years

Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD, brake bypass, antenna adapter, metra steering wheel control adapter

To retain the Dual CC capability, had to de-solder the LED and button from my original motherboard and re-solder to the JDM...those LEDs are freakin tiny!!! I'm an active member on my local forum, ChicagoZ, but thanks to the resources on this site and especially Wrathernaut, my buddy and I were able to install everything successfully this past sunday!

Didn't want a touch-screen, just a simple deck with USB and Bluetooth

just got the new deck yesterday. drilled a hole in upper compartment to run a/v cords from ps2 to the deck. still looking for a good solution for power cord so i don't have to run it out of the front.

Just installed the Avic Z120BT came out pretty good with the JDM double din but still needs some minor work to fix the gap on the top.
