Correct non rca harness. 70-7550. With the rca harness I had no bass or volume. The 70-7550 is straight speaker wire to speaker wire. I did however have to install a sosche gain controller to get rid of the hiss I had with the 70-7550 harness.

 

Hey all. I had gotten a request from a fellow member to post up some pix of my Pioneer F90 and the Metra kit install. Posting up in this thread I had remembered seeing about the time I had put it in.

I prefered the Metra kit for it's perfect fit for the AVIC series headunits vs. the OEM style buttons on the JDM fascia - I know others disagree, so be it.

Nice to have all the fantastic features of this unit and having lost the feeble OEM POS player and A-clown designed circuit board.

I've been trying to order a dash kit for about a week now. Riverside is out of stock and no date of when they will have them. Grubbs has them instock but I cant figure out if the color is going to match my interior. I have the black. There are different dash colors right? I called Grubbs and Riverside and they said there is only one color which i guess is titanium... any help would be awesome!

 

the color of the actualy surround is the same for both. The difference is the color of the buttons. I have a willow interior but my buttons are black which I actually like better. I got mine from Grubbs so my guess is they would be black.

 

i thought so but then I noticed a company on ebay... intergration solutions or something offers two different colors... so thats got me all confused right now

so what kind of fitment issues are you seeing with the JDM - AVIC combo.. too much gap.. sloppy fit..?

wow... I finally found a vendor that has the BLACK JDM DD console of an 04 Sedan.. and had my eyes on a F90 unit (sweet!)... I won't get delivery from NISSAN until mid May.. but I was stoked about getting a black JDM unit, but now it sounds like the fit is lame with the head unit I was looking at... is that the gist of it?

 

WoW is right... If you don't mind me asking where did you find a black jdm dd? I have the metra kit now and love the fit with my hu... But the buttons kill me... The jdm kits I've seen have a small gap around the hu but can be cleaned up in a number of ways. You really just have to pick what you'd rather deal with.
