Look here:

http://www.gpscity.com/gallery/2008/03/Nuvi-Floor-Mount

and

Those mounts show a Garmin Nuvi being used, however, there are tons of different mounts available for all kinds of GPS. There are TomTom specific mounts, which model are you using?

If you want an aftermarket XM, you can mount it in the ashtray area like mine...need a small unit though.

I had them both wired professionally by a stereo shop too.

So you like Beyonce huh??? haha

Your setup looks real nice

oh really? wow, thats cheap. yeah it fits but BARELY...and it MUST stay open...it wont support itself either...so i might have to velcro it, and just leave it up while driving and take my gps and shut the cubby door when exiting the car.

Yeah, Beyonce really does it for me! ha

Its really not expensive and took about an hour for the guys to put in. I use a high grade velcro on my unit and it works great. Go for it!

Well I drove around w/ my cousin last night and the gps seemed fine where it was..I've got it really wedged in there where my cluster/dash are...it's very visible and close enough for me to touch without really even moving a whole lot. i hope it stays. :P

Hi guys,
Im new to the site and just purchased an 05 6mt. I had a Tomtom one laying around that I decided to mount where the ashtray sits. It works great for me! its discrete, fully functional and easy to use. I have an entire album showing the mod if anyone's interested. I hope this helps!!

When I had my 05 Sedan the Garmin fit in the cubby just fine. I had my wife make up a small bean bag that sat in with it and it would not slide around.

My Garmin sits in the compartment where the GPS would go if it had come with the vehicle. A little velcro hidden and it's sturdy. Works well for me.

I just leave mine in the cupholder in the center console. Since it talks, I don't need to look at it.

My Garmin Nuvi 650 fits perfect in the cubby with the optional Garmin bean bag mount. And it's at the perfect position. Looks very good, IMHO. I bought the bean bag because in Minnesota it is illegal to mount a GPS or radar to your windshield with a suction cup mount, but you can mount it on your dash with the bean bag. Stupid law - on my truck the bean bag mount puts it at about the same location as a suction cup mount.
