Center Console Confusion (CCC)

So I have been working today on installing some party lights in my car b/c I am 19 and that is what I do =P. But when I went to the DIY for removing my center console so that I could hide some of the wires and drill some holes for the wires I find that my center console is diffrent from all the guides even though the guide says it is for and 03-06 and I have an 06. I am guessing I just for sum reason have the 07 center console in my car for sum reason. I cant find a DIY for removing the center console on the 07 (assuming that is what I need) any help. I am saying I have an 07 console based off the fact that I dont have a break between my cupholder and middle armrest holder that was shown in EVERY other DIY. Help would be apprecitated VERY much

its pretty straight forward. theres 2 phillips screws near the back of the console. remove the shift **** and shifter trim, theres 2 phillips screws directly under the leading edge of the radio, and 2 phillips that are just in front of the cupholders. you will see a seam that runs horizontally from ft to back on the console, gently separate the 2 halves in the front. then remove the 2 trim pieces that are on either side of the radio/hvac unit, by pulling from the bottom then the top.

I have an 05 and it looks like an 05-06 console to me. The interior changed from 03/04 and 05/06.

If the link above isn't what you are looking for then refer to the service manual in section IP pages 21 and 22.

Thanks that explained part of it, but what I am unclear on is how to bring up my cupholder and center arm rest compartment as well so that I can get in there and drill a hole in there for my cables to run out of to the lights under my seats. I already have the lights mounted and my cables are running to them in a make shift way atm.

Post #4 by EMG explained it pretty well. Did you try that? The two, back philips screws he is referring to are on the sides of the console (one on each side). You have to move the seats forward to see/get to them. It might be easier for you if you remove the seats, but that's a different adventure...
