Are you using the wire harness with the RCAs? If so, you need to create a new, more robust ground connection to the chassis.

You'll need to find the ground from your double din receiver harness and run a heavy guage wire to the firewall and attach it there -- that'll help with the "whine"

Also, as much as you can (i know it's hard as there is little room behind that receiver) keep the RCA's electric taped off and away from power wires (ACC and BATT wires (red and yellow, respectively).

That should help.

Also, if that doesn't work, you can buy a Black betty ground kit and install that .. this should help a bit too.

I created my ground at the firewall for my Kenwood DD setup:

If you look in the driver's footwell, you'll see 3 or 4 large bolts that tag the steering column bracket to the firewall -- I used on of these bolts for my O-ring of the ground wire that I ran directly from the Kenwood harness.

I also have a DNX8120 that is running 5V pre-outs .. so this will also help with that whine -- what unit are you using?

I have an 8120 also

I have the power and rca ran on the same side (passenger) no noise at all.....thats a myth about running the rca and power wire...

I gounded my headunit to the wiring harness, like I said, no problems.

Posible that your rcas are messed up. Ive ran rcas and tugged on them a little on the ends and that casued noise.

Also, what amp are you using ? How high is you gain set?
