Resetting the Sirius Radio

Resetting the Sirius Radio
Hi,
I had some major body work done after a hit and run accident a few months ago, and after I got the car back, my Sirius radio was only picking up a handful of scattered stations from the satellite. When I'd try and jump to a station it wasn't picking up, it would say to call the 888 number. Sirius was unable to reset my radio remotely. My radio presets were all gone when I got it back from the shop so I know the radio had reset.
I've read some accounts online of others having the same issue after work being done on their car, and for them it turned out that when the battery was reconnected in the shop, the radio had reset and it downloaded the stations again, but since it was indoors it didn't have a solid signal and so it didn't download everything.
I've tried to reset my radio by disconnecting the battery for up to 30 minutes, but it has not reset my radio. The presets are still there when I connect and start the car.
Any suggestions? I wasn't able to figure out which fuse controlled the radio, but I thought disconnecting the fuse would reset it as well. Do I need to leave it disconnected longer?
Thanks!
Kevin

I assume your talking about a factory installed sirius radio.
if so... go into the truck. Remove the liner, the spare tire and the lining below that. I think its 2 or 3 screws. The back left is the sirius player. Simply disconnect that main wire harness for a few seconds and then reconnect. This whole process takes less than 5 minutes.
My sirius sometimes freezes and this is how i reset it. good luck
