Re: Need ideas, where to mount DVD player?

Forgot to say my car has NAV so that spot is out of the question. The DVD player is DIN sized

How about modify the rear center console with fiber glass and then cover it with vinyl. Get rid of the cup holders and mount it right there. No passenger should be drinking in the car anyways. That's what I am planning on doing anyhow.

Do you have a picture? There are several different types of Innovatek DVD systems. Which one do you have?

Re: Need ideas, where to mount DVD player?

i am waiting for the innovatek dvd player w/ tv tuner to arrive as well and i was thinking of putting it in the glove compartment. i have an alpine nav and the deck was installed where the factory nav was suppose to go. im not sure how big the innovatek dvd player is, but if it will fit in the nav compartment, then i was thinking of moving my nav deck into the glove compartment and then putting the innovatek deck in the nav compartment if it fits. i thought about putting the dvd player in the center console in the back seat of my coupe too, but that seemed like too much work. that would work too since the innovatek comes with a extra remote sensor that you can wire to the front so that you can still use the remote.

Why not go the double-Din route?

Not sure if you have a sedan or coupe (no sig and not in your profile)

if you have a sedan, here's what i did:

Re: Need ideas, where to mount DVD player?

You can do the same thing with the coupe. The back center "thingie" is all hallow. You can easily do a stealth install having the cup-holder hide the unit. But why not go double din?

Re: Need ideas, where to mount DVD player?

I want to keep the Bose deck. Does the double din keep the OEM deck?

Re: Need ideas, where to mount DVD player?

Nope. It removes your Bose deck to allow space for aftermarket head units.
