Opinion on kicker l7 system and bose problems

OK, so right now im driving an 07 g35 sedan with bose system and i had a 12" kicker cvr running at 200 watts from a crappy amp that keeps cutting out if i put the volume high. So i have two questions:
1. Has anyone else had problems with the bose system that when you put the volume high, and then lower it again to the same position as before, the volume seems a lot lower than it did before you put it high? i have this problem all the time, esp. when i go above 3/4 the volume counter, the sound just seems to drop a lot. has anyone else had this problem? what to do?

2. I want a better system and my big bro has an old 15" kicker l7 solobaric lying around and i was thinking to stick it in my car. Im about to get an alpine mrp m1000 amp that should push it too 1000 watts rms for a good price brand new ($145). Would this system be good? Would i need anything else to supplement this upgrade? (ie. better battery, capacitor....etc?)

thanks for reading!

I had 2 kick solobaric 10" subs in my 03 Sedan with Bose... It worked great for a while but I eventually switched to aftermarket navi, speakers and amps.

I ran the same sub (only 1 10" solobaric) in my 05 sedan without bose (basic radio) and it always functioned fine. I never noticed any level problems.

If your SVC (or whatever its called on 07's) turned on?

i'm not sure exactly what it stands for but it's speed sensitive volume control. Usually it has 3 settings Off-Low-High. It's designed to make the volume louder as your speed increases and then lower it again as your slow down or come to a stop.
