you only need a fix if the head unit is playing the dvd..normally you just have to bypass a couple wires that connect to the e brake..however in your situation you can just use the external source..you use the ps2 to play the movie and your head unit will just act as a screen..you can also use you ipod..you can hook up an I pod video and do it that way.

if you are getting 2 tens you will need to replace your whole front sound stage. pick up a jl 300/2 v2 it will work well w/ the 500/1 you just bought, pick up a nice set of components for the front focal, alpine type x pros are good you can run the back speakers with the bose amp, and disconnect the rear 6x9s..I just left them in so I didnt have holes in the rear deck. Lots of dynamat as the g35 rattles like crazy.
in order to play dvds on that headunit you will spend more money than its worth. probably should have just picked up a newer head unit.

yeah if you take that 6x9 out..there will be a hole but the screen will cover it so no body will know the holes there except u..and there will be room for the bass to go to the cabin...and about those 10" subs..depends if its single voice coil..dual..and etc.. and yeah u can install the jdm dd kit and such..you dont gotta buy everything at once then install..you can piece by piece if you choose
