hello everyone

im slowly purchasing everything for my audio setup.


I just purchased the JDM DD Kit with a Pioneer F700BT head unit from Tecni
The Pioneer headunit does not come with a DVD player built in.
This unit only has GPS/MP3/CD/Bluetooth capabilities.




So heres a few questions i have....

1. I was wondering
what do i need to purchase if i wanted to
watch DVD's on this headunit?

2. I want my oem steering wheel controls to
work with this headunit.Does anyone know
which PAC module i need to purchase so my
volume/track controls work with this Pioneer Headunit?

3. Im purchasing (2) JL W6 V2, will this ebay box support
these 2 subs?

these 2 subs?

6. Am i missing anything else for my audio setup?
im also looking for someone in the pittsburgh/monroeville pa area
to install all this on my G35 when i purchase a few more items.
ill definetly pay $$$$.let me know

1. nothing you just need a smart installer
2. you can either go universal or you can find it on their website... look for description.
3. box should be fine
4. 1000/1 jl will work fine
5. search on here some ppl have preferences
6. speakers and speaker amp,

 

Can't have all that bass without changing the speakers (and getting a speaker amp) like Troy mentioned.

2 10w6's is overkill, IMO. If you wanna stick with that box and JL, then I'd stick with 2 10w3's with a 500/1.

im about to purchase (2) JL W3's with the JL 500/1 Amp
somebody on craiglist is sellilng what i need lol what a coincedence


what speakers should i get for the speakers on the driver/passenger doors?
and should i also get new tweeters?
and should i get new speakers thats in the rear window?

 

Link to box? Do they make one for the G37?

just type G37 SUB on ebay and you'll see the boxes they have

I hope you are concidering a new head unit. Those BT models have had issues with heating up. They have been selling for dirt cheap for that very reason. Good choice on the 10w3's instead of the 10w6's. A 500/1 will be pleanty for those subs. You do not even need to keep your rear 6x9 since your low frequency fill will now be your subs. Take em out and pad the rear deack as much as you can. YOu will get rattle.....

 

^what you serious about the pioneer headunit having heating issues! damn
i hope mine doesnt heat up! i should have done some more research b4 purchasing this

 

the website its tccustomz..they are out of canada and will make anything you want..that is one of the only vehicle specific enclosures

 

if you are getting 2 tens you will need to replace your whole front sound stage. pick up a jl 300/2 v2 it will work well w/ the 500/1 you just bought, pick up a nice set of components for the front focal, alpine type x pros are good you can run the back speakers with the bose amp, and disconnect the rear 6x9s..I just left them in so I didnt have holes in the rear deck. Lots of dynamat as the g35 rattles like crazy.

in order to play dvds on that headunit you will spend more money than its worth. probably should have just picked up a newer head unit.

 

10w6s and 10w3s will work in that box..just look at the jl website for airspace req.

I dont know if you can..does it have an aux in? you would just need to get a DVD changer..but those arent cheap..for the price you could get a dvd head unit. another option if it has an aux video in is just use a ps2 or somethin, then you can play games as well.
