Damn Phatnoise has been out of stock of the Infiniti compatible phatbox for the last two months and I am getting antsy for a mp3 solution for my car. I have been reading past posts about the PAC adapter that is supposed to use the SAT connections. My questions are:
1. Does this PAC adapter connect to the connect in the trunk or the back on the head unit?

2. If it connects to the trunk how are people able to control the mp3 player that is sitting in their trunk to play, pause, FF & RW? Also what about getting power to these units in the trunk?

3. Are there any portable Mp3 players that have support for IR remote control to be able to use the PAC SWI-X thing?

Well I just got an e-mail from Phatnoise today, the Infiniti / Nissan Phatbox is back in stock. I just placed and order for it, woo hoo no more worrying about an Mp3 solution. Just hope it is as good as everyone has been saying it is. Can't wait for my new toy.

Does the phatbox integrate with an 2003 premium/nav/6mt in the trunk, or do you have to run it up to the unit? And how can you tell? Thanks.

 

I spoke to PAC this morning while placing an order for some more products. My rep told me that customers of thiers have been really happy with the AAI-NIS / SWI-x combo they have been using for their Nissans/Infinitis. Its a really big seller now for them... The AAI-NIS units are going to be on a backorder after I get my units in... They are simply amazed at the demand.
