amp bypass help

Hi, <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
<o></o>
I bought a harness, the Nissan Bose harness, does it go behind the head unit? i was thinking it would fit before it goes in the amp. <o></o>
<o></o>
So first thanks you for sharing any info, as your help is greatly appreciated. <o></o>
<o></o>
Now My question,<o></o>
<o></o>
I need to take out the 4 channel out and remote power on out from the back of the car (the trunk), to feed to my 4 channel T3-1000watts amp.<o></o>
<o></o>
How do I go about it, and bypass the amp, keep the stock head unit, and the stock wiring and not get a full new wire to the back. <o></o>
<o></o>
The next part would be to get the power to the speakers from the stock wires that are already there. <o></o>
<o></o>
Please let me know which wires to splice from which connectors, to feed the speakers once I am doing getting the signal from the head unit directly to my new amp.<o></o>
<o></o>
About my setup :-<o></o>
<o></o>
I have one 1000 watts 4 channel amp, and 250.1 mono amp for the rear Bose subs (6x9s)<o></o>

Again thank you for reading and helping me out.

these are the outputs from the HU to the bose amp if I am correct.

I can tap into the signal from the 2 connectors that go into the bose amp right ?

Looks right to me, just run your own 4 gauge power wire and put your own ground in and you should be good to go.

Just don't blow out the Bose speakers. They're used to taking power from that little cigarette lighter under the rear deck.

make sure your amp will take balanced differential inputs or it will sound bad when you turn it up past the halfway to two thirds point.

I ran into this problem, what I ended up doing was putting an MTX REQ5 in, which takes balanced differential inputs and puts out unbalanced RCA outputs. THIS IS IMPORTANT to consider!

balanced or unbalanced, hmm, not sure, my amp takes low level inputs from RCA, and it takes high level inputs like the direct speaker wires. not sure about balanced or unbalanced :|

this amp (4 channel) i did not buy for myself as it was a gift, been 2 years i have it sitting around so i thought i would install it.
amp specs are :

Continuous Power: 75w x 4 @ 4 ohms
120w x 4 @ 2 ohms
Bridged Power: 180w x 2 @ 4 ohms
Maximum Power: 150w x 4 @ 4 ohms
230w x 4 @ 2 ohms
Frequency Response: 5 - 100k Hz
THD: 0.04%
Signal to Noise Ratio: 90db
Remote Volume Control Option: Yes
Damping Factor: 205 @ 4 ohms
Dimensions: 28cm x 44cm x 6cm

its an "ultimate sound" company which i have never heard about.

well

You are taking the old Bose amp out correct?

If the amp does not specifically say balanced differential inputs, then it is most likely unbalanced.

Are you going to run it into the high level inputs? OR are you going to take the signal from the Bose HU to the new amp. If so, this balanced differential business is going to matter.

That is something i cannot find much info about. I find alot of technical stuff that is not registering correctly in my small brain.
well i have not done this yet but i am trying to take out the bose amp and add 2 amps instead of the one. So taking the output before it goes into the amp and taking the stock amp out using my own amps. Thats not a good idea you guys think.

Any plan that involves removing the Bose amp and replacing it is a good thing.

Since it don't see anything about a new headunit in your posts, it seems your best course of action right now is to make sure one of those amps can take a balanced signal, and that that same amp also has pre-outs to send to the other amp.

Re-using the stock wiring to the trunk, and from the trunk to the speakers, it shouldn't be very difficult to install. Just don't try and re-use the amp power wire or ground. Run your own.

Great Idea

That is exactly how I did it. Now you need to either get an amp that has Differential Balanced Inputs (JL Audio or Xtant are a few) OR get a device that does. I used an MTX REQ5. I got it for about $100 on Amazon.com.

What I did was kept the stock HU, tapped into the low level (equivalent to RCA jacks) signals, and fed them into my MTX REQ5, then into both amps. IF you do not get something with Differential Balanced Inputs (MTX REQ5, JL Amp, etc...) when you turn it up about 2/3 of the way it will distort horribly, crackling and popping.

If you still need some more help, you can PM me if you need.

Good luck, hope it works out.
