Wrathernaut's Double-Din Installation FAQ, Shopping and Resource List
Well nevermind I wired everything up and the radio turned on when I tested it but when I electric taped it up it didn't turn on anymore. Probably ask for a nearby shop for a quote to handle the wires for me. If anyone on here is located in Georgia and want to help out pm me. Please lol
harness adapter. Probably just the way I connected the wires together. I'l just head to a shop tomorrow and hopefully get a reasonable quote to get it wired up properly with back up cam and all.
Twist together and electric tape. I know soldering is the best but this being my first time handling wires I don' know how to solder properly.
well it can be due to a poor connection, once you shove all the wire back in they can come loose. Get yourself some butt connector at least in order to have a more secure connection and if that does not work look into an audio shop, Twisting wire and taping them up can be dangerous as your wires can be expose or come loose and shorting out then you will have a problem,
Went into an audio shop and quoted me 265 lol telling me it'l be 5 hours to wire up my radio and back up cam. Looks like I'll spend the day trying to figure it out. I tried butt connectors and it just won' turn on.
Has anyone been able to map the answer and hang up call feature to their asw1c. I'm having issues on mapping these functions or any other function to the steering wheels controls. I'm only able to have volume up and down, seek up and down. if I try to map or do anything via my lap top or cell phone the its looses programming and I have to reset the module. called axxes and all they told me was that my car may not support these features but it does lmao. i kept trying several times and after every reset on occasions the answer call button would be assigned to switch between modes but the last time I did it nothing was assigned to it so i just left at that.

Twist and electrical tape isn't connected. It's just putting a time delayed electrical short in your car. The electrical tape will fail due to heat or age, and then you're bouncing the car around with that exposed wire.
Soldering pen can be bought for $15 with solder. Cut a length of wire and practice holding the soldering pen against twisted wires along with the solder a few times without power to the soldering pen. Once you are comfortable holding those three things together, plug in the soldering pen and do the same thing. Congratulations! You're soldering!

Hey, if I have the PAC ROEM-NIS2 can I upgrade my door speakers without having to add an aftermarket amplifier? I have some Polk DXi651s sitting around and wanted to see if I could put them in my car.

You should only have the ROEM-NIS2 installed if you have the factory bose amp, in which case, you're fine to swap speakers. However, you're still running through a garbage amp, so the sound quality is still limited by that amp.
Yeah I got the factory Bose system. I have a door speaker that just blew out and figured I'd just replace all of them with speakers I have instead of ordering a used Bose one.
