If you're talking about the blue antenna amp wire from the adapter harness, that connects with the ANT. CONT. wire of the head unit which is blue.

I think we'll have to see the entire wiring harness setup to help.
I'm not sure what that is on the other side of that blue wire on the vehicle side - but check it for voltage.

So I have a little dilemma. I wired everything up, made solid connections and all was well. My Kenwood unit powered up when it was supposed to and powered off as it should. As I was putting it back in for final assembly, I guess a wire which I didn't tape off properly touched something and sparked. The old radio wouldn't power on so I replaced the fuse (it blew) and the old radio powered on. However, the new radio won't power on again when the key is in ACC. It did before the fuse blew but now it won't. The fuse behind the Kenwood unit looks good and all of the wires I secured properly so nothing bare was exposed. At the back of the unit, I can see the fan move slightly but then it stops. It continues to do that as long as I have the key in ACC. Could the unit be fried?

The fuse itself looks intact. Looks like there's nothing wrong with it. Not blown or anything. It's so frustrating when you know you had it working but made a rookie mistake.
As far as I can see, there's only one fuse (right next to where the harness goes). It's a Kenwood ddx9704s. Unless I'm missing something.

im getting ready to rewire the head u it tommorow. check the radio fuse under the hood. do you have your antenna connected? i knew my unit would no power upnat all if the antenna was not connected
Yeah the antenna is connected securely. It did power up until I blew a fuse when an exposed wire touched something (the costly mistake, sigh). I'm going to order another harness, maybe I fried that.

well i hooked the metra harness and violaa eveything work 😨, i guess im one of the lucky few as well causd it sounds wayyy better than with the pac audio harness. the only drawback is that i just rigged up a ground cause i could not find a solid place. tommorow im going to buy some self tapping screws and drill in the frame at the bottom. dint get a chance either to setup fully set up thr steering wheel control but hopefully i dont run i to any issues.
to remapp the buttons i have to do it with the module attached to the vehicle right?

I feel like an idiot. It was all because of the ground of the headunit. It's all set up and running perfect. Thanks everyone for the help!
