Dear Molex Plug
Dear Molex Plug,
I faking hate you!!! I hope to never see you again.
I just ran new 16 gauge wire to the doors on my coupe
I read every thread I could to prepare my for this crap but still the first door (drivers side) kicked my *** 2.5 hours trying to push the plugs together to the point that I said *** it and took the door off. My friend held it up while I connected the plug back and then bolted the door back. The passanger side was simple as cake. I think I had a problem with the drivers side cause I didnt make the hole big enough to freely pull the slack out and i think the wire started to turn. I hope to never see the molex plug ever again in my life.
The end

...its not hard at all compared to other cars
Take your doors off, easiest way to do it
Also you dont need 16 ga wires 22-20ga if fine for tweeters. 18ga is fine for mids (if you are hooking up a comp set)
give your self 2 hours and have someone help you with the doors.
I was worried myself, but after doing it wasn't bad
run your speaker wire from your amp location to the doors prior to starting
that will save you some time and not make the job seem so long

I actually drilled my molex plugs in front doors to add 4 new wires. Woofer and tweeter.
2006 g35 sedan
does anyone know where I can buy this plug with new terminal pins.
The molex plug has a lot of open pins so I was thinking of moving all wires to the new plug and add 4 new ones 2 bigger for woofer and 2 smaller for tweeter using new terminals.
I had to pull my dash out to mod my climate box from single zone to dual zone and ran into the problem of not being able to pull the dash harness because of my added speaker wires.
so because of that I want to add plugs this way I’ll be able to disconnect it if I’ll ever need to.
