Help Adding JL audio subs to stock bose system!
I have a 500/1 JL audio amp, and 2 12" w3 JL audio subs... I am installing this in the sedan, and everything went well till i turned up the volume. Every time I turn the volume over 10, the subs stop hitting. Is there a solution to this problem? Any information would be helpful. If you need any more information about the installation let me know, I would be more than happy to provide it.

How did you supply the signal to the amp? Speaker level inputs through RCA via cut and splice or in the Hi-Level inputs? Reason I ask is if you are running Hi-Level inputs to the Low-Level input on the amp, that may be too much and is overloading the signal. I had a similar issue with my wifes '07 sedan, at a certain (relatively high) volume level, the amp goes into protect mode, until the volume is reduced. For the fix I used what I should have used in the first place, which was the speaker (Hi-Level) inputs on the amp. Not exactly sure if that is your issue but sounds like it. Try lowering the bass adjustment first, that will tell you if you are overloading the signal. Turn it all the way down then see how high you can turn the volume up without it cutting out. Other than that, it may be an amp issue.
