Big install saturday, What else might I need???
On saturday I am going to install my new stereo system, everything except for the head unit ( I am in school and don't want some punk to break into my car for a head unit). Anyways here is whats going in:
1) JL Audio 500/1
2) 2 JL 10w3v2 in a custim box I built (unlike any bow out that I have seen, it's pretty sharp I.M.O)
3) JL Audio 300/4
4) JL Audio XR650-CSI components (up front)
5) JL Audio XR650-CXI (for the rear panels)
6) I am going to use Soundgate Line Output converter (LOC4.4) running a high voltage output into my amps.
7) JL Audio amp kit (2 guage for dual amps)
8) JL Audio RCAs 4 channel
I am going to best buy tomarrow to get 14 guage speaker wire and a 2 channel rca for my subs. I also have all of the materials and hardware to make mounting brackets for both sets of 6.5s.
Is there anything else that I will need, but don't have? Also, I am thinking about cutting out the factory silver speaker covers on the doors and utilizing the speaker grills that came with the JL Audios, or mounting them on top of the factory grills (ANY OPINIONS ON THIS??) It will give a pretty clean aftermarket look. I am also planning to cut holes in the door panel for the tweaters, allowing their swivel mechanism to be functional.
What do you guys think, I would love opinions or comments ASAP before I dig into my car. Also, I have a digital camera and can take pics if anyone would like. Thanks fir the imput.

you may want to keep a stock look if you're worried about theft... they steal aftermarket speakers too not just head units...
got service manual diagrams for taking apart the dash/doors/rear panels? i believe you have everything... although i'm sure once you start installing, something will come up... something always comes up...

Those amp have hi level inputs too and imo don't cut the grills or door panel. Use good wiring. Upgrade your battery to an Optima Yellow Top.
BTW nice choices on the equipment.

Re: Big install saturday, What else might I need???
Thanks for the opinions. I probably won't use the JL grills anymore, but I am seriously thinking about putting the tweeters on the door panel still. For sound quality, and for the fact that it will not fit flush with the factory spot. The JL tweeter is to big and may hit the door or left pillar when closing the door. I may also upgrade the HU in the future when there is a cool on out that is not outrageously expensive and when I can afford it(just dropped a nice little chunk of change on all of this stuff). I will look into upgrading the battery, Also is high or low input to the amp preffered, the LOC4.4 can be adjusted for either. Any good mounting location suggestions for the JL 300/4, the 500/1 is going straight on the box.

I would try to sell the LOC you have and use the interconnects and the jl tweeters will fit in the factory location. Beleive me I do alot of the SoCal G's and most of them have been with the XR components in the factory locations. You will love them.

This is the part you need:

You could cut up a regular RCA but I would not recommend it. You are already all JL anyway. Remember to flip the input switch on the amp.
