While they may be great speakers, walking into a room and trying to impress with your ridiculous too cool to really help attitude is childish.

Did you even bother to address the shallow rear panel issue that the Crutchfield gentleman brought up? Even if he chose a less than stellar set of speakers, he still imparted useful information.

Look at my simple and cost effective install. I wanted to get some bass since the bose speaker are actually decent as long as you remove low end bass that disorts them easily. I have a slim sub installed that sounds great and weight next to nothing.

I just set those limitations to make it easy to do the research. Also Amazon is authorized retailer and very easy to work with for return shipping, and refunds. I am sure the OP can do his own research and find who has best prices on each component. When I ordered my setup back like 6 months ago Amazon had a 65%-75% off sale on Rockford products. At that time amazon was at least 25%-35% lower than ebay along with being authorized..
