AAI-NIS auxiliary input adaptor

I have the oem satellite receiver on my car. I want to install a dvd player in my car along with a screen. I was wondering if it is possible to still install the auxiliary input adaptor even though the satellite button is already in use? Is there any way around that? Somebody please help me!!!

I don't think there is any way around that if you still want to keep SAT radio.

Actually the cheap way to do this is to hack into the audio lines coming from the SAT tuner, skipping the AAI-NIS althogether (you don't need to fake a SAT tuner, you have a real one!). Then flipping a switch will interrupt the SAT audio so you can hear your DVD. The snag is that the audio is in a differential (positive, negative) format. You may be able to get away with connecting - to the audio ground, though. The SAT tuner even has built in relays to facilitate doing this. You would just need to send +12v into one of the unused pins on the SAT tuner and connect your audio source to the other side.

With Jaak's help over on the murano forums, I created a more elaborate switch to allow me to use both my Phatbox and SAT tuner, using the audio switching relays built into the SAT tuner. Works great, but I used a pricey cable to connect to the opposite side of the SAT tuner.

So yeah there's a number of ways to do what you want if you're willing to get a little intimate with Nissan's interface
