'05 Bose Radio Problems?
FWIW, I just had the dealer take a crack at mine. They ordered a new stereo and replaced the whole unit. Still has the problem. Bleah.
Not really sure what to do now, neither is the dealer.

GOOD LORD. I thought i was the only one with this Bose stereo problem. I' ve been very fustrated with the system since the day I bought it. The dealer did a half *** job of checking the problem on the system and said it was fine. I hate this crap and going to write to the Infiniti corporate office about this sorry piece of crap unfixable problem and complain. NO MORE INFINITIs for me anymore!
I have the same problem on my 05 Coupe AT with Bose. My client's 04 coupe AT with Bose did not have this problem. My old 03 Sedan AT non Bose with the same head Unit did not have this problem either. For 05, Infiniti changed the Head Unit to get rid of the cassette player. The only way to fix it is either turn the bass and treble down to +4 and back again at +5. Or bump the volume past 20. But good news, I have a very close friend who works at Nissan/Infiniti headquater in Tokyo Japan who have a friend in a department that's in charge of Audio for all Nissan/Infiniti cars. He came here on a bussiness trip this week and I told him about the problem and he said he will try to make them do something about it. Hopefully, they will recall this problem and fix it. THIS IS A DEFECT OF THE HEAD UNIT, NOT THE BOSE SPEAKERS OR THE AMP. (FYI, someome wrote that the Bose speakers are the rear speakers only, but when I contacted my friend and also technician at Bose, they said it's everyhing Bose but the Head Unit. It makes sense because all speaker have to be voice matched in order to reproduce the sounds accurately. Don't just put any speakers in!)

Yes, all paper, all small magnets all around.
I am gutting that junk - but do (PLEASE!) keep us in the loop on the head unit side. I want to keep the stock look up front.
Cheers.
I picked up my car two weeks ago, and I have the same exact problem. The only difference is my car DOES NOT have bose. Has anybody had any solution to this yet? It seems to me that its not a Bose problem, but the manufacturer of the h/u.
I haven't really noticed it myself but I'm use to aftermarket systems so either way the factory system isn't great. It's not the worst factory system I've owned either. Just curious, has anyone experimented with the SSV settings? If so, did it make any difference?
I have the same problem. Thought I was loosing it for a while. Told my sales manager about it just so he knew but he had no clue. I told him about this post and that I didn't think replacing the HU would fix it. I'm going back in tomorrow for some work and he just told me to bring him a list of things to go over. Doubt much will happen and I really don't want them to try to replace the unit if it isn't going to help anyway.
