'03 G35: Where does the tweeter meet the woofer wiring?

I am replacing my speakers/sub/amp in my '03 G35 sedan w/Bose. I already have a CarPC installed so after this install is complete, my sound system will be completely custom!

I am installing a component set in the front (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_777P65C...5C.html?tp=106). Each side comes with a 6.5" woofer, a 3/4" tweeter and a crossover to split the audio to the woofer/tweeter. Looking inside the door panel, I notice that the wiring for the woofer and tweeter are separate. But after looking at the wiring diagram (https://g35driver.com/forums/attachm...d-cars-001.jpg), I see that they are joined at some point.

My question is, where is the point where the tweeter taps into the speaker wire from the amp? This is where I want to install the crossover! Does anyone know? It looks to me like the tweeter and woofer wiring remains separate as it goes through the door grommet, so I assume they are joined somewhere in the chassis of the car, not the door.

Thanks!

Thought I'd answered this or an identical question around the same time.

There's a y-split in the cable inside the door, so if your crossover isn't well-sealed, it should not be installed inside the door where the split is. Running two pairs of wires through the molex (grommet) is entirely possible, but it is a bit of a pain.

Ah, inside the door - I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. I don't want the crossover in the door, it is pretty big. I will figure something out! Thanks.

If they're weather-sealed, they can be put on the inside door skin, there's a foam filler piece (at least in the sedans) that can house a huge crossover. If you're putting them in the interior of the car, there's space in the passenger kick panel and I put my driver's side on the top side of the trim that hangs beneath the steering wheel.

Hmm...okay, I'll check that. You mean on the backside of the black metal "inner piece" where the window motor mounts?

No, on the interior door panel:

My HD Radio receiver is under the radio, plenty of room in that area.
