Ok to remove XM SAT receiver?

I am doing my DD audio install...completely replacing the BOSE system, is this piece ok to remove? It says XM Satellite radio so I am assuming that is all it is. There were a ton of wires going to it though, so I just wanted to make sure removing it will not affect anything else. It is an 05 G35 Coupe w/ NAV. I am replacing head unit, all speakers, and isntalling aftermarket AMP.

I removed everything. I even removed the POS BOSE amp. I had to reconnect the wires when I removed it though. there is a wire diagram I found on here and connected based on those colors provided. Maybe this is not the way to do it... but I did it this way. ROFL

I am removing all the bose stuff as well. What do you mean you had to reconnect the wires when you removed it? Are you talking the XM receiver?

Oh ok thanks, I thought you were saying that you had to rewire the wires that went to the XM SAT box.

Yeah, remove the sat box, no need to keep it. You might be able to sell it for a few bucks.

Not sure about the 2008+'s you're in the wrong subforum for that year.

But it's probably in the trunk, by the spare or under the rear deck.

Oops! My bad! Got this on a search. I will look under the rear deck. Thanks!
