Trip meter stuck

Hoping you guys can help. I searched for anything related in the forum and came up blank. I just got an '06 G35x Sedan a week and a half ago and noticed that the trip meter wasn't turning over. It's stuck at all zeros. It also won't switch to trip B. Holding in the stick does nothing. The odometer and speedometer are working fine, which is a relief, but it would be nice to be able to track gas mileage and mileage for oil changes. Anyone seen something like this or have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe pulling it out a bit? seems like it's acting like the reset stick is stuck being pushed in.

I tried that and it doesn't pull out at all. I can push it in maybe half an inch as if to reset it but it does nothing.

Since your's won't pull out try pushing it in and turning it clockwise, maybe that will release it....Gary

I would hit it as hard as you can with a hammer. That should break out the plastic piece. Solution? None. Broken plastic. Don't do this.

Just go old school and get a small notebook to keep in your glove compartment and manually track your mileage. That's how we had to do it back in the day........
