Trunk won't open HELP

Trunk won't open HELP

All of a sudden my trunk won't open, it's keyless. I would just press the trunk release button and it would open. But now it doesn't I already checked the trunk release on/off button in glove box what can it be?

Look at the "trunk wire cut thread in the electronics section." What essentially happened is that you tore some ground wires in a connector between the trunk lid and the rear cabin.

Pop the trunk with the manual pull handle, and fix those wires.

Be sure to really expose ALL of the wires in the wiring loom, as there are a couple that power the trunk light as well that can get clipped way down near the body.
