J/K, the component is probably failing due to age, if you have access to an IR scan gun shoot the lid and check temperature on the surface of the changer when it fails vs. the temperature when it's working properly. Also make sure the trunk partition dividers are properly installed and the exhaust air flap doesn't have anything blocking it (back corners of the trunk near the bumper area, looks like a little flap that goes outside the car). Air needs to be flowing freely through that part of the trunk to keep stuff from overheating but the component is a decade old and is probably just going through a natural death cycle.
