AVElectronic

I was wondering if there were any dealers of the AVElectronic unit on this forum. If not, does anybody know a good place rather than Ebay and AVElectronic.com?

Why would you buy that expensive crap when the naviplus converter only costs 275 its quater the size of avelectronics. It doesnt use relays its only microporsesor chips and they give you instructions for dummy's check them out at www.naviplus.tv.

well the avelectronics box was the only proven device out when i was looking at an a/v interface to my nav. there was nav tv but i heard bad reviews about that product. there were other alternatives out as well, but they required cutting multiple wires (versus just the 1 wire cut with the av box).

now i just went to the link that you supplied and clicked on infiniti.....and the page is under construction. any feedback on to how this exactly installs (i.e. how many wires to cut). does it include remote, tv tuner (even though it doesnt work great its a feature), allow for multiple inputs and outputs, and designed to work with a rear view cam?

im not saying the av box is the end-all product and everyone should / needs to buy it. im just happy with the purchase that i've made over a year ago, have had no problems, and would definitely purchase it again.

....but competition is good.

vsokolov, no offense, but since youre the owner of the naviplus business I think your opinion is pretty biased
Id want to hear some outside reviews of the unit

Im all for cheaper solutions though
If its a reliable option I may start recommending it to clients who I do installs for

I recently tested out a Blaupunkt 1 channel converter that only cost $120 on Ebay. The signal was a bit wavey though (especially in black areas). How does the video look on these other units?

Does this unit work with an 05 model?
Are there any pictures or more info on your unit?
Thanks

Vsokolov,
Can you shed some more light on your unit and it's compatibility with 05?
For instance, what comes with your unit? What wires or how many wires do we have to cut? When will your site be updated to show info for Infiniti G35's?
This unit will allow us to retain the factory NAV and be able to play DVD's on the NAV screen correct (unless I misread somewhere on this topic?)
TIA
